The Colorado Springs Philharmonic is an El Paso County Enterprise Zone project. This means that your contribution in the amount of $500 or more makes you eligible for a state income tax credit equal to 25% of your donation. Combined with federal charitable income tax deductions, your gift to the Philharmonic can result in substantial tax savings.
For more details on how this works, download our step-by-step instructions.
The minimum donation to the Philharmonic that can be made through the Enterprise Zone is $500 per year. Enterprise Zone donations must be made by check only—no credit cards.
Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Please check with your tax advisor to verify you are receiving the appropriate tax credit allowed.
Should you desire to make a contribution of publicly traded stock, please contact the Colorado Springs Philharmonic at 719-575-9632 for more information (note: Enterprise Zone tax credits for gifts of securities are 12.5% rather than 25% as with cash gifts).
Please note: we are required to submit donors’ Social Security or state tax ID numbers with all donations made through the Enterprise Zone. To obtain a state tax ID number, here are step-by-step instructions. In addition, in order to claim your tax credit, you must file your state income taxes electronically for any 2012 Enterprise Zone contributions.
